Default Question for cold weather peeps

So when opening the hood on the Queen to check the battery charger the hood goes up but the last couple inches are rough on both shocks and won't hold the hood up. You can feel a dry rubbing feeling at the end

We have had 10 to 20 deg temps last few days could the fluid be frozen?

OR ???

any cold weather friends out there have this happen before?

I don't know if the hood's ever been up in the winter before, but, it was fine last month

Thanks for info~

Happy New Year

Yes, do what your brother suggested.

The cold will affect there performance.

The fluid will not freeze, but it will get thicker and make them act funny.

it wouldn't be a bad idea to replace them. The cold weather just amplifies the fact that they aren't working the way they should. They are relatively cheap to replace, maybe $50 for the pair? I can check with my parts guys and see what they charge.

Not much I'm sure, it still has that new 10 smell

It's one of those 10's that's never seen the rain, and for the most part, has never seen the sun either LOL
