You have so much tape in those memory banks, Jake.

I grew up on Colorado Blvd..... runs between Glendale and Pasadena.

The hot rod haven was Bob's Big Boy on Colorado (not the one on Braodway).

I've seen machines in there that were barely driveable on the street.

Some fun shit....

Yep, I took it out around the big block (about 1.5mi). The tires are pretty bad and it's about 28deg here today. So, didn't go too far. But everything worked good, shifted good, no issues. Got back and poked around underneath and no leaks. It's a good day.

The title of the video lied tho... she did smoke a "little bit" when we started it up the first time. lol Just burning off the MotorKote I sprayed in the upper cylinders.

Took her out for a drive last weekend! It was a balmy 50deg and sunny here in the great white North. Tooled around for about 17 miles. Didn't have much time, but it was glorious! I just wanted to keep going. What a car.

I checked the plugs and oil later this week and all seemed well. The plug wires, cap and rotor needs to be changed though. Although it ran fine (I think) the rotor especially looked pretty rough (corroded around the pickup). So, off to the internet to get some parts.... then wait... and wait... But the waiting isn't so bad because it's 20deg now and supposed to snow for the foreseeable future. lol Ah, PURE MICHIGAN.

They're not as bad as one might think, Dad. ... you just have to know where to buy them from. (It helps to be friends with the top European Service Center in the area, and do all the detailing for that center, to get parts for cost though... lol )

The only "Chevy" that I bought parts for is a C2 Vette.... so, I'm used to it.

Bought plug wires, cap and rotor today.... spent just under $200, so that's not bad. Hell, the most expensive thing I've bought so far is the oil (Valvoline 20w50 VR1 Race oil... 9qts... sound familiar??? lol ).

It's 18deg here today. Finally broke down and put the cover on it today. But the up-side is we've decided to open a new satellite office about 30miles from the house and it's a AWESOME drive to get there. I'll be able to stretch the Tornado's legs about 3 times per week in the summer.
