Angry Ran over a F'ing tree this morning.

Driving to work around 2:00 this morning and it was dark, heavy rain, and high winds. Took the freeway exit and 3/4 of the way around the exit was a tree that had been blown down. Probably 5 or 6 inches in diameter. Got slowed to about 45 or so when I hit it.

Going to go out shortly to see what was damaged. A quick look when I got home only showed damage to the airdam. Maybe I lucked out.

We also lost power at home earlier for a couple hours. God I hate living in the not so great Pacific Northwest.

Hit it with the Corvette.

We have a guy working in the kitchen laying the backsplash tile, so he has his stuff setup in the garage. Hopefully I will be able to get the car in there on Thursday and see how bad it's damaged.

At least its not leaking any fluids.

That must have been some ride in a Vette. You can run over a dime in a Vette and tell if it's heads or tails. Hope everything is alright. Does the drivers seat need to be replaced?

Sandwich Composite Floor with Lightweight Balsa Wood CoreCorvette’s floor is constructed using two layers of an aircraft type composite material wrapped around a balsa wood core. The balsa wood helps filter out noise and vibration, and makes the floor 10 times stiffer than the use of composites alone. Numerous “high tech” synthetic fillers were tried, but none matched the stiffness, light weight and damping performance of natural balsa wood.

http://www.corvettecenter.com/_junkf...echhistory.htm

holy jeeeeezus I had no idea there was that much balsa wood in the floor, heck a little epoxy, a coupla 2 x 4s and some screws otta do it.

If not, get some Gorilla Glue, I've heard that's some sticky shit!!!
