Default Is RAM no longer a part of Dodge?

In the last year, I've noticed that the Ram truck campaign featuring the awesome voice of Sam Elliot no longer employs the name of Dodge in any of their ads.

The word Dodge doesn't even appear on the Ram truck website.

Since Jeff is the expert on such things, I thought I'd ask him what's up widdat?

Is RAM no longer made by Dodge division of Chrysler?

Inquiring minds............

RAM is its own brand just like SRT

An article that might help explain this
http://www.trucktrend.com/features/n...eparate_brand/

I was surprised when I saw the move, really didn't change what I was doing so I just moved on without comment

I didn't expect a comment from you, bud.

I just found it curious how Dodge was so conspicuous in its absence.

Thanks.

opinion.....

I see more of this happening over the coming years with Fiat. As most know, they will be aggressively marketing and selling the Fiat brand using Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep locations and I think the divisions will play a big role to that end, how...? No way I could even guess, but like Honda and Toyota, Fiat want to be part of the top 3 even if it kills Chrysler/Dodge/Jeep

Ram is a Fiat owned brand. Dodge is a Fiat owned brand. They are not one and the same. This is a departure from the days where Ram was a model manufactured by the Ram company.

As a side note, Fiat is seriously considering eliminating the Dodge brand.

Maybe they'd be interested in buying Obama.

He runs everything by Fiat.
