Default GTR

A guy I work with bought a new Nissan GTR Black Edition.

It's funny, I never really suspected him of being a car guy, much less one that would spend $120K (List Price) on a car.

When I talked to him today about it, he said the last of his kids had just graduated from college and he told his wife he was not going to die with all this money in the bank. It was his turn so he went and paid cash for the car.

Fucking well done in my opinion.

It's an extraordinary bit of engineering I'm told.

A real supercar ....

The AWD system in them is far advanced in comparison to other AWD systems on the market. When Chrysler was kicking the idea of an AWD SRT4 around they studied the GTR's system and were taking cues from it. It really is a supercar slayer and if I had $120K burning a hole in my pocket I would seriously consider one.

We were looking for what Nissan had next at the time.

Too bad they put the bar so high.

50k for the Twin Turbo in 1996 was enough......

GTR's are for those who pay cash.

But for stupid money, there's quite a bang for the buck....

I understand that dollars for dollar they're considered almost economical.

Within the context (again) of stupid money.
