Actually, Spam is a great item to keep in the pantry. It's not that expensive (even find it on sale or at Costco), It keeps almost forever, can be prepared many different ways. Should be part of your survival stash.

I am never going to eat spam again .. Nope , no way, nada chance :mf_pcwhack: I prefer MRE's the assortment is good and you can get them from surplus stores or a connection in the military ... The brownies and ham are great !:smoke2:

I've never had a MRE so I cannot make a comparison. May look into getting some if they're not too expensive.

Your in NC correct .... How close to Fort Brag are you ?
I have 2 brothers in Fayettville , ones is retired mil. but was still working civilian for the Army . He may be able to get some on a deal .. I think I will ask him and see .

Bragg is a couple hours away. I may see what mail order can do.
Something else just occurred to me. I'm gluten free so there may be part of the MRE I can't eat.

you can buy MRE's at any local army/navy store...

but these are where it's at:

This package will feed 4 people for 1 month at 2 meals per day for a little over 100 dollars per person per month or 2 people for 2 months etc. The meals are in foil wrappers. All you need to do is boil water, add the boiled water to the foil pouch wait a few minutes and eat. So you need water, a pot to boil it and a spoon.

The shelf life is 25 years!

Everyone should have this or something like it at home
